This quilt from Dindga McCannon’s series, “Dead for Nought,” discusses the Vietnam War as McCannon had participated in anti-war protests. This quilt was inspired by Black soldiers who either died or continued to experience racism upon their return to the United States. McCannon says, “Why give your life to a country that don’t love you? That beats you down in a regular? That is what this is about.”
