Excerpt, "Driving Passion — The Motorcycle as a Woman's Image"

This excerpt is from Phyllis Krim’s essay, “The Motorcycle as a Woman’s Image,” which the artist read during the panel, “An Alternate View of Women’s Imagery: The Artist as an Individual,” organized by Phyllis Krim on the occasion of her solo exhibition “Classic Cars and Other Machines” and screening of the documentary film on her work entitled “Driving Passion,” at NYU’s Loeb Student Center in 1976.
